The Iowa Speed Track & Field Club is excited to continue the Mental Edge Academy to it's 8th grade - 12th grade athletes and coaching staff in 2019.  We believe this is another essential link to building great athletes and great people.

Athletes and coaches will deepen their knowledge and skill in the areas of focus, motivation, confidence and more.

Learning how to manage yourself and your emotions, as well as how to support team members are critical life skills and we want to continue to inspire excellence in our young people and our coaching staff.  Our hope is that this will serve them well through the course of their educational, athletic and career lives.

Each athlete and coach will receive numerous hours of focused classroom session time, take-home exercises, in-training challenges and a ME Academy workbook.

In 2019, Mental Edge Academy will be presented in a half-day or full-day workshop format.  Date to be announced.

This session will be facilitated by Professional Performance Coach Heather Woody and University of Iowa Director of Track & Field and Head Coach Joey Woody.  We will also have guest speakers.  This will be a highly interactive event and one that your athlete won't want to miss!
